Cheater Cheater Sugar Eater!!! (Day 3 Wrap-Up)

So yes! I ate sugar yesterday!!!! TWICE!!! Gah!!!!

But given the circumstances, and what I chose to ate, I'm still pretty darn proud of myself.

First I found myself at the grocery store, 20 minutes from home, with a soon-hungry baby, STARVING to death. I forgot to eat before I left. The only thing Giant had to offer was Lara Bars, and sadly, I'm still tired of those and won't want one again for some time. So... I got an Almond & Coconut KIND bar at my favorite coffee shop (with a plain latte, nothin' added). It has honey and glucose. 11g of sugars -- which equals almost 3 teaspoons. Yikes!!!

Later, I found myself beginning a 40 mile drive home to a hot dinner waiting... but was starting to shake, so I had to get SOMETHING. I stopped at Arby's, used the bathroom and got some fries. Fries-- which fail by being Processed, Potato and possibly having added sugar too!

In my defense, I did NOT get a soda. Nor did I go to Mickey-D's -- I know as fact that they add sugar to their fries. And that fast sugar kept me alert enough to get home to my awesome dinner awaiting! Kasha!!!
    In addition to sugar, yesterday I ate:
  • Kasha with Mandarin Oranges (About.com) without the raisins, plus a small serving of grilled chicken and some romaine lettuce. Filling!
  • Coffee
  • Spiced coffee =)
  • Oatmeal with a banana and a little half-n-half
  • Leftover fried rice
  • An orange
  • A couple small handfuls of unsalted mixed nuts
And that's all I can remember... hence my NEED to get something while out before lapsing into a shaking, foggy-brained bloodsugar low.

SO yay. I cheated, but I'm not worried about it, and I'm not going to start eating sugar because I think I "failed". Heck no! Onward to health and increased happiness!
